Gemmologist and Independent Jewellery Valuer

Mary obtained a BA Hons degree in French and Spanish from Cardiff University. It was in fact due to an extensive trip to South America that her passion for gem stones was ignited.  She went on to obtain her Gemmology Diploma in 1999 and her Diamond Grading diploma in 2001.  Mary is proud to be a member of The Jewellery Valuers Association and The Gemmological Association of Great Britain.

 

Mary's vast experience in the jewellery trade, spans a variety of sectors:

• Jewellery Manufacturing - Stephen Foster Jewellery, Hatton Garden.

• Diamond and Gemstone Dealing - Bass Premier Company, Hatton Garden.

• Retail - Tiffany & Company, Old Bond Street, London.

• Auction house valuing and cataloguing - Fellows & Son, Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham.

• Specialist Jewellery Consulting for regional auction houses, to include Willingham Auctions, Cambridge and Rowleys Fine Art, Ely, as well as for private clients.

 

At present Mary’s work commitments include:

• Consultant Valuer for Jonathan Lambert Jewellers

• Consultant Valuer for the Willingham Auctions

• Consultant Valuer for MW Valuations.
